Ah Sola. A hit or miss company for me. When they hit, they REALLY hit. But when they miss… it’s a bummer. The Sola Sync Wireless vibrator was in the hit category… but only just.
If there’s one thing you need to know about me, it’s that I’m one lazy bitch. I’m not going to do extra work if I don’t have to, and that includes holding heavy toys, reaching around my pudgy tummy for the best angle, or getting lube on my phone for vibrator apps. The Sync checks all my boxes here. It’s gloriously lightweight, has a remote that doesn’t care if you get some lube on it, and a unique shape that I just adore. Let’s get into it.
The Sync has 10 vibrating functions, it’s waterproof, rechargeable, and made with body-safe silicone. The charger allows you to charge both the toy and the remote at the same time with a handy split cable, which is a nice little time saver that I wouldn’t have thought of on my own. As with all Sola toys, it comes with a lovely travel pouch as well. You don’t have to use the remote though, as there are controls on the wand itself, which is a nice option (if you’re the type to lose things, like I may or may not be…).
My favorite part though is the way this toy is designed. The wand style vibrators that I’ve tried and owned (the Magic Wand and Doxy Die Cast) are just straight, nothing to write home about. But the Sync has a curve to it that allows for me to relax and still be able to position the vibrating head exactly where I want it. If you have a tummy like me, or mobility issues in your hands, arms, shoulders, or even back/neck area, this is ideal. The curve is great on its own, but paired with the lightness of the toy itself, it’s a home-run on the ease-of-use scale.
The vibrations are a little lackluster, which keeps this toy at a solid B+ instead of pushing it into my grade A category. They’re not terrible by any stretch, but they’re on the buzzy side of the spectrum. The head of the wand is also smaller than most other wands, meaning if you like really, really broad stimulation, this may be a little too narrow for you, though I liked it just fine. I also wouldn’t call this a loud toy, but it’s not necessarily quiet either, so if you’re using it with housemates you’d rather not be listening in, turn a fan on high or some nice music. And make sure you keep the pressure on your bits! Lightening up on the pressure has resulted in some surprisingly noisy buzzing against some lubey labia, in my testing.
It only comes in that typical sex toy purple, which isn’t a dealbreaker, but some other color options would be nice. (Gold glitter, anyone? Orange? Yellow???)
The shape of the wand is for all those hard to reach areas of your back and shoulders, but it’s also good for clits! You can get the Sola Sync for $122 (at the time of this posting) at SheVibe to add it to your collection!
