Review: b-Vibe Rimming Petite Plug

I am not a connoisseur of butt stuff. Never have been, and I doubt I ever will be. It’s not totally my cup of tea, but even so, I was incredibly intrigued by the Rimming Plug Petite from b-Vibe. Vibrating plugs were one thing, but a plug that had beads that spun around the neck to simulate rimming? I was very curious, and the kind folks over at Betty’s Toy Box hooked me up.

Let’s start with the good stuff. Unlike most other toys I’ve encountered lately, the Petite Plug comes with a stellar carrying case. If you’re looking for something discreet, this looks just like a regular old electronics container, which is awesome. But it also has some rigidity that will protect the plug if you toss it in your luggage or your too-full toy box like me. It won’t save it from all damage, but it’s a nice layer of protection. Though if something does go wrong, the vibe comes with a one year warranty against defects, which provides a little more peace of mind.

As far as the toy itself, I’m pretty pleased with it. It’s silicone with a flared base, so it fulfills the basic requirements of a safe plug, but it’s also splashproof which makes cleaning easy. It comes with two different vibration features: the internal vibe that has six patterns, and the rimming beads that have seven modes. You’re a lot more likely to find a pattern combination that you like with those options. Personally, I love the vibrations. I thought I might be lukewarm about them, but they really do help the muscles relax, and they feel good!

No toy is perfect, and there were a couple things I didn’t love about the Rimming Petite Plug. The remote is pretty necessary because if you lose it for whatever reason, pressing the button on the bottom of the vibe is going to be an exercise in flexibility. Not really easy for most folks, especially not if you have a larger body or limited mobility. Don’t lose that remote!

It’s also called petite in comparison to its original counterpart, but there’s not a ton that’s actually petite about it. It’s a bit shorter, but the neck diameter is still an inch, which can feel large if you’re used to much slimmer necks, like nJoy’s plugs. The original diameter is 1.5”, and the petite is 1.4” and I don’t know how discerning your butt is, but my butt couldn’t tell the difference. I may be a stickler on that one, but it’s worth noting.

The big question: Does it actually feel like rimming?

Well, no. But it feels good. Not like rimming, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. Humans don’t vibrate, toys do. That in and of itself will make a difference in sensation! If you’re looking for something that feels like rimming, this will only give you an approximation. Only rimming can feel like rimming, in my opinion.

But in all honesty, even if you’re not totally loving the idea of anal play, it might be worth experimenting with this plug. I wouldn’t recommend it as a first toy, since it’s pricey at $145 USD, but if you have a couple other toys and are curious, go for it. You probably won’t be disappointed.
