Review: Moka G Vibe Cerise

I don’t know why I was so optimistic about the Moka G Vibe Cerise.

Well, that’s not entirely true. I was hopeful because it resembles the Lelo Ella, which I want, but don’t want to buy because Lelo sucks, but I know Epiphora loves that toy. I was also hopeful because it vibrates, and I love the way my Prism V vibrates against my g spot, so I was hoping for something similar. It’s a bright and happy pink, which I always love. It felt light and easy to use. I wanted the shape to stroke my g spot into happy melty bliss.

Boy howdy was I disappointed.

Moka g vibe compared to the we vibe glow

This toy isn’t wholly bad. It’s got a good shape– it’s easy for me to hook this toy under my pubic bone and keep it there, which I can’t do with some of my other g spotty toys– it’s light, it’s easy to travel with, and you don’t have to worry about losing a charging cable since it takes batteries. But it’s buzzy, not rumbly. The vibrations are weak. There are 12 patterns with various speeds, but none of them are truly that satisfying.

Now, my clit is no princess, so this does make a decent clit vibe. It’s not buzzy enough to make my clit feel like it’s itching, but not rumbly enough to make me question my worldly existence. I can get off with it if I try, but why would I when I have more effective clit vibes? The vibrations remind me of my B Swish BBold Premium, the shape of the We-Vibe Glow, Not horrible, but certainly nothing to write home about.

My g spot is a little more discerning, however. It sighs in boredom when I try to use this toy as a g spot vibe. I think about my Prism V or Sola Cue or Swan Wand and immediately want to abandon the Moka for one of my favorites. Those toys all wake me up, snap my g spot to attention, and make me focus on all the good rumbly sensations they’re producing. The Moka does none of these things, and I find my mind wandering and counting settings to see if I can bump it up for any more power. But even if I do, it’s just buzz.

If you are thinking of adding this toy to your collection, it comes in pink, purple, and blue. It takes two AAA batteries for two hours of use, so make sure you have those on hand. It is waterproof, which is nice, and makes cleaning easy and bath time fun, if you’re into that. While it’s certainly not “whisper quiet” as many toys claim to be, I definitely don’t worry about using this toy with other folks in the house like I do with my Doxy or Magic Wand.

For a clit vibe and a g spot vibe, I was disappointed. When it comes down to it, I wouldn’t spend $80 on a toy that I only enjoy half of, especially when that half is mediocre at best.
